Used Phone

A used, refurbished phone is the smartest way to get a reliable smartphone without paying the new-device premium. At Smarty, every handset — mostly Apple iPhones and Samsung Galaxy models, depending on availability — is inspected, tested and cleaned before going on sale. You get a fully working smartphone for less, and an already-manufactured device gets a second life: good for your budget, good for the planet.

Grade A, AB, B: what do the conditions mean?

The grade only describes the cosmetic condition of the device; functionality is tested and identical across all grades.

• Grade A / like new: no marks or barely perceptible signs of use — very close to an out-of-the-box device.
• Grade AB / very good condition: light micro-scratches visible up close, invisible once the screen is on or a case is fitted.
• Grade B / good condition: more noticeable wear on the body or frame in exchange for the lowest price — screen and functions remain flawless.

Our advice: if looks don't matter much because the phone will live in a case, Grade AB or B gives you the best value. Buying a gift? Go for Grade A.

How much can you save versus buying new?

Depending on the model, storage capacity and grade, a refurbished smartphone typically costs 20 to 40% less than its brand-new equivalent — and the gap widens further on previous generations. The smart move: target a model released one to three years ago, such as a previous-generation iPhone rather than the very latest. You keep excellent performance and years of software updates, at a much lighter price. Stock changes with each new batch: every product page shows the exact condition, capacity and current price.

FAQ

What condition is the battery in?

Every phone is tested before sale, battery included, to ensure it can handle normal daily use. When the exact capacity has been measured, it is stated on the product page — some listings specify, for instance, "100% battery".

Are a charger and accessories included?

The exact box contents are detailed on each product page, and some listings are sold "with accessories" — this is clearly stated in the title. Smarty also stocks cables, chargers and cases, so you can complete your purchase in a single order.
